Getting our dogs to walk nicely on the lead is one of the most common problems dog owners face. There are a number of techniques that can help aid a dog to walk nicely on the lead. It is about working with each dog to find a technique that suits them. It is not one size fits all.
Distractions in the environment can make it even harder and therefore we need to work with our dogs and getting their focus on us as their owners first and foremost, repeating techniques in a non distracting environment such as inside their home and then building on this outdoors. This requires time and patience.
